As'Saalam Mualaikum Warahmatullah Hi Wabarakatahu
Love of ALLAH (سبحانه وتعالى), which is the most important obligation, as it is the basis of Islam. By perfecting one's love of ALLAH (سبحانه وتعالى), one perfects one's faith. If one's love of ALLAH (سبحانه وتعالى) is lacking, then one's Tawheed is also lacking. The daleel (evidence) for this is the aayath (verse):
". . . But those who believe, love ALLAH (سبحانه وتعالى) more (than anything else) . . ."
[al-Baqarah 2:165]
"Say: If your fathers, your sons, your brothers, your wives, your kindred, the wealth that you have gained, the commerce in which you fear a decline, and the dwellings in which you delight . . . are dearer to you than ALLAH (سبحانه وتعالى) and His Messenger, and striving hard and fighting in His cause, then wait until ALLAH (سبحانه وتعالى) brings about His Decision (torment). And ALLAH (سبحانه وتعالى) guides not the people who are faasiqoon (rebellious, disobedient)."
[al-Tawbah 9:24]
Don't forget too that loving ALLAH (سبحانه وتعالى) dictates that one should love the people who obey Him, in other words the Prophets عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم and righteous people.
Ya ALLAH (سبحانه وتعالى) bless us with good. May ALLAH (سبحانه وتعالى) bless our Prophet Muhammad (صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ). Allah Humma Aameen
