What is fitna (lure) for a person may not be a fitna for you; so if he falls short, do not judge him based on that particular sin. Judge him by his good qualities that you still do not possess. Some people will be tested with their children (e.g. Abraham "peace be upon him"); some people will be tested by their followers (e.g. Jesus Christ "peace be upon him"); some people will be tested with poverty (e.g. Prophet Muhammad "peace & blessings of Allah be upon him"). Therefore, everyone is tested based on their capability of handling the difficulty; so focus on what you're being tested with.
