Kabi to aghaaz-e-baab hoga,



Jinhon ne basti ujaar dali

Kabi to unka hisab hoga,



Sehar ki khushyan mnane walo



Sehar k tewar bta rhe hen,



Abi to itni ghotan barhegi

K sans lena azab hoga



Wo din gaya jb k hr sitam ko

Ada-e-mehboob keh k chup thay



Uthe gi hum par jo eent koi



To pathr uska jawab hoga,



Skoon-e-sehra me basne walo



Zara ruton ka mizaj smjho,



Jo aaj ka din skoon se guzra



To kal ka mosam kharab ho ga,
