دوہزارنوسے پردۂ سکرین پرغائب رہنے کے بعد سابق فرانسیسی گلوکارہ حجاب اوڑھ کرجب ایک ٹیلی ویژن چینل کے ذریعے منظرعام پرآئیں توان کے غیرمسلم مداح انہیں اسلامی حجاب میں دیکھ کرحیران اورپریشان ہوگئے۔ اپنے ایک ٹی وی انٹرویومیں انہوں نے کہا کہ وہ ماضی میں منشیات اورنشہ آورادویہ استعمال کرتی رہی ہیں، تاہم ایک مسلمان دوست سے ملنے کے بعد اور قرآن مجید کوپڑھ کر اور سمجھ کرانہوں نے اسلام قبول کیا۔ دیام کا حجاب کے بارے میں فرانسیسی گلوکارہ نے کہا کہ پردے کوایک شرعی حکم سمجھتی ہیں۔ اورمسلمان ہونے کے بعد سے بہت خوش ہیں۔

Famous French singer Diam's has announced in a newly-published autobiography that she has embraced Islam and decided to wear hijab.

Diam's, whose real name is Melanie Georgiades, said she found that the way out of depression was in saying prayers and reading the Qur'an.
